Tonia Lewis serves as Archivist and Webmaster for Sevier County Archives and Heritage Services (SCAHS). Her passion for preserving the history of rural Utah began while working in Special Collections and Archives at Utah State University as she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography. She continued building her archival and historical preservation experience while supervising and managing academic libraries, bringing together expertise in archives, digital access, outreach, and community engagement.

With more than 25 years of experience in website design, graphic design, photography, marketing, and digital communications, Tonia leads the development and management of the Sevier County History Hub, ensuring that historical records, photographs, oral histories, and community stories are preserved and made accessible online.

As Archivist, Tonia coordinates with Sevier County Commissioners, the SCAHS Board of Directors, Advisory Board, History Specialists, and community partners to strengthen local history preservation throughout the county. She oversees archival processing, digitization, records management, public relations, and educational outreach while organizing, training, and supporting mayor-appointed city historians. Tonia also directs volunteers and interns, develops preservation initiatives, and works to expand access to Sevier County's historical collections through innovative programs and collaborative partnerships.

Outside of the archives, Tonia enjoys serving as Crew Chief for her family's hot air balloon, Czech It Out and Feelin Froggy. She and her husband, Josh, the balloon's pilot, enjoy attending balloon festivals throughout Utah and neighboring states with their children, Vienna and Rion. Tonia resides in Salina, Utah.

Vienna Lewis serves as Assistant Archivist for Sevier County Archives and Heritage Services (SCAHS). Since joining the organization, she has become an integral member of the archival team, developing expertise in collections management, digitization, archival processing, volunteer coordination, and public access to historical records. Her passion for preserving local history continues to grow as she gains hands-on experience while pursuing professional archival education.

As Assistant Archivist, Vienna helps organize, preserve, and digitize historical collections while preparing records for long-term preservation and online access through the Sevier County History Hub. She coordinates and supports volunteers, assists with archival description and metadata creation, contributes to community outreach initiatives, and helps ensure Sevier County's historical resources remain accessible for researchers, educators, genealogists, and future generations.

Committed to continual learning, Vienna is expanding her archival knowledge through advanced professional training, including the Western Archives Institute. This education strengthens her ability to apply archival standards and best practices while supporting SCAHS's mission to gather, preserve, and share the history of Sevier County and contribute to the development of sustainable rural archives throughout Utah.

Outside the archives, Vienna enjoys hot air ballooning with her family and is currently working toward earning her hot air balloon pilot license. She enjoys traveling to balloon festivals throughout Utah and neighboring states, where she loves meeting new people and sharing her enthusiasm for this unique hobby.
